Course Content

The aim of this course is to examine the art that began to emerge in Turkey in the European style of representation, starting from the period of modernization/westernization, along with exhibitions. The history of exhibitions, which are the most signifýcant platforms to observe the development of art, will be studied in Turkey and compared with European countries. Students taking this course will learn about the history of exhibitions in Turkey. primarily in parallel with the development of European-style art, using a chronological approach. Additionally, tlýey will acquire comprehensive knowledge about why and how exhibitions are organized.
