Course Content

The function over finite fields such as Bent and plateaued functions are significant in cryptography since they possess desirable various cryptographic characteristics such as high nonlinearity, resiliency, low additive autocorrelation, high algebraic degree and satisfy propagation criteria. Bent functions were invited firstly by Rothaus (1976). Further, Plateaued functions which is generalization of bent functions were introduced firstly by Zheng and Zhang (1999)are a special type of Boolen functions. Further Carlet and Prouff (2003) studyied to design cryptographic functions. Plateaued functions have been actively studied and have attracted much attention due to their cryptographic, algebraic and combinatorial properties. Very recently, Mesnager (2014) have characterized bent functions and plateaued functions in terms of moments their Walsh transforms. In the light of these developments, the above research topics will be considered this course. Moreover, these work will be implemented in mathematical software package MAGMA.
