Course Content
This course explores the theory and practice of designing lightweight block ciphers for constrained environments such as 10T and embedded systems. It covers design principles. efficiency-security trade-offs. and common structures like SPINS and Feistel networks. Students study and analyze ciphers such as PRESENT. SIMON. and GIFT. along with cryptanalytic methods and implementation considerations. Emphasis is placed on modern standards and practical design under strict resource constraints.
