Course Content
The course introduces hyperelliptic curves. focusing on their mathematical foundations. Jacobian varieties. and group law. It covers divisor arithmetic using Cantor's algorithm and compares security and efficiency tradeoffs between hyperelliptic and elliptic curves. Students learn to design and implement hyperelliptic curve cryptosystems and signature schemes. analyze their computational complexity. and explore recent advances and practical challenges in this area.
