Course Content

The course covers the mathematical foundations of bilinear pairings (Weil. Tate. Ate) and their efficient computation. followed by detailed study of pairing-based protocols such as identitybased encryption. attribute-based encryption. and short signature schemes like BLS. It includes formal security proofs. explores key attack vectors like MOV reduction and side-channel attacks. and addresses practical implementation challenges including parameter selection and optimization. Real-world applications and case studies round out the course. preparing students to design and deploy secure. efficient pairing-based cryptosystems.
