Course Content
This course introduces students to the principles and practices of effective science communication, equipping them with the skills to bridge the gap between science and society, Through a combination of theoretical insights and hands-on activities, students will learn to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences using a variety of tools and platforms, including traditional media, digital media, and social media. Topics include science journalism, visual communication, citizen science, and crisis communication. Students will also explore the role of science in policy museums, and public engagement. The course culminates in a group project where students design and implement a science communication initiative, applying the skills and knowledge gained throughout the semester.
