Course Content
The course begins with a brief review of computational complexity and NP-hard problems, providing the necessary theoretical background for evolutionary computation. It then guides students through the fundamental concepts, techniques, and applications of evolutionary algorithms. The early part of the course focuses on the most widely used single-objective evolutionary algorithms, including Genetic Algorithms, Ant Colony Optimization, and Particle Swarm Optimization. Then, the course focuses on more methods such as Differential Evolution and Honey Bee Optimization.
