Design of dissipation structures; hydraulic jump and stilling basin. drop structures and plunge pools. trajectory basins. Design of bottom outlets; gate types. hydraulics of high-head gates. air entrainment. cavitation. Design of intake structures; hydraulic losses. vortex formation. hydraulic loadings. control gates and valves. penstock.Prerequisites: CVE372. and CVE376.
