Course Content
Marxian Economics is a course that introduces a school of economics. It covers both the major figure of the school, Karl Marx, and the major book that did create the school, Capital, Volume 1. The course gives information on early economists who laid the groundwork used by Marx, to form his core ideas. The course will introduce the students to some of the major critics of the Marxian School, as well as some major discussions within the field. It also covers some major works and theories developed by later economists in the Marxian School, spreading from the late 19th Century to contemporary times. And, under certain topics, the course also introduces the interaction of Marxian School with other schools within economics.
