Course Content
The main objective of the course is to introduce students to a number of approaches to monetary theory and policy. The following topics are covered: Theoretical Fundaments of Monetary Policy. Vulnerabilities and Limits to Monetary Policy: Financial Dollarisation. Fiscal Dominance. New Monetary Macroeconomics Beyond IS-LM. Monetary Policy Transmission Mechanisms. Inflation Dynamics.
