Statistical ideas and their relevance in business and social sciences; presentation and analysis of data Summary statistics and elements of exploratory data analysis; elementary probability; random variables and their distributions; the normal distribution; sampling and sampling distributions. The central limit theorem; student's distribution; large and small sample estimation procedure.
