Review of basic statistics. Distribution-free statistics. ranking statistics. U statistics. Large sample theory for U statistics. Tests based on runs. Asymptotic relative efficiency of tests. Hypothesis testing. point and interval estimation. Goodness of fit. rank-order (for location and scale). contingency table analysis and relevant models. Measures of association. analysis of variance.Prerequisite: Consent of department
