Classification, synthesis and transformation of biopolymeers (polynucleotides, polypeptides and polysaccharides). Merrifield solid state synthesis. Classification, synthesis and transformation of synthetic macromolecules. Chemical and biological transformation. Solution behavior, helix-coil transition. Structure, morphology and properties of biological polymers in the solid state. Single crystal formation. Applications in Biomedicine and Biotechnology.
