Course Code Metu Credit ECTS To ably perform written and oral communication at European Language Portfolio level B1 since the language of education is English.To possess the verbal and written skills necessary to communicate Marine Geology and Geophysics related research in progress and/or results at national and international meetings.To be able to conduct multidisciplinary research in Marine Geology and Geophysics, and develop scientific approaches in complex situations.To be able to utilize critical thinking skills in research, analysis and application in Marine Geology and Geophysics.To be able to produce publications from nationally and/or internationally funded research on Marine Geology and Geophysics.To acquire the knowledge and experience necessary to set up successful business enterprises in the fields of Marine Geology and Geophysics.

Course Code Metu Credit ECTS To ably perform written and oral communication at European Language Portfolio level B2 since the language of education is English.To be able to analyze complex problems from a constructively critical point of view, and therefore become leading scientist candidates within their fields of research in Marine Geology and Geophysics.To be able to produce an original thesis and at least one scientific publication in citation index journals thereby contributing to broadening Marine Geology and Geophysics knowledge.To be able to write original project proposals and conduct independent research which contribute to improvements in the fields of Marine Geology and Geophysics research.To possess occupational and ethical responsibility with respect to Marine Geology and Geophysics.To not be solely specialized in their own field of expertise but also to have a very proficient knowledge of the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of Turkish Seas.
