Course Content

Colonialism in Latin America and transformation of space is the main topic of the course. The course particularly investigates Plaza Mayor, the great city square in Mexico, and its transformation process starting from pre-colonial times until modern times. The course draws attention to the connections between space, time and politics in Mexico.
