Course Content

This course aims to concentrate on disability issues on national and international level in terms of social policies. The course first introduces fundamental knowledge about impairment, disability and the handicapped. After picturing out experiences of disabled people and living with disabled people, the personal awareness of attended people against disability will increase.The course will also cover health policies and the discrimination against disabled people in the community. The competition, friendship, promotion prospects at the work and the concept of sheltered work will be discussed. The students will also have chance to meet with disabled people and discuss these issues. The main objective of this course is to introduce social policies and legal issues on disability and disabled people.
