Course Content

This postgraduate course seeks to examine the key aspects of European diplomacy by exploring its key concepts, institutions, and forms in the European and global contexts. The course starts with an introduction to the theory , institutions and functions of diplomacy in general. This will be followed by the discussion of the historical evolution of European diplomacy. Afterwards, it explores European diplomatic methods in bilateral, multilateral and transnational platforms. The course concludes by examining specialized forms of European diplomacy in various issue areas.
