Course Content

Broad range of basic and advanced topics relevant to the study of complex adaptive system: modeling and simulation fundamentals, complexity, self-organization, emergence, computational modeling, agent-based models, self-organizedcriticality, phase transitions,cellular automata, adaptation and learning. Applications of complex systems thinking and agent-based simulation models to various problems such as conflicts, climate change, innovation diffusion, financial system, complex human system, social networks, organizational adaptation.
