Main concepts of Quaternary Period, geological time scale. Terrestrial (Desert, glacial, fluvial, lake) and marine Quaternary environments. Analytical dating methods and Quaternary geochronology. Glacier dynamics and mechanisms. Climate change and causes of ice ages in Quaternary. Case studies in related applications in geology.
