Course Content
Modes and mechanisms of slope failures particularly in soils. Shear strength and related failure criteria, and other geomechanical parameters considered in slope design. Methods of stability analysis. Back analysis of failed slopes, and sensitivity approach. Field instrumentation, monitoring and remedial measures for the design of slopes.
