Course Content
Classification of carbonate rocks. Principles of deposition and diagenesis of carbonate rocks. Modern and ancient environments of carbonate sedimentation. Recrystallization of limestones. Dolomitization. Thin-section studies stress the petrogenetic aspects of carbonate rock textures and their organic constituents.
