Course Content
Concepts related to education and curriculum development, the concept of curriculum. Bases and external forces of curriculum development, foundations of curriculum (Historical, Social, Philosophical, Psychological). Curriculum models and different curriculum designs. The elements of a curriculum (needs assessment, aims-goals-objectives, learning domains, content and its selection and organization, instruction-methods-materials-equipment, different levels of planning, student assessment and curriculum evaluation). Building /preparing (implementing and evaluating) a curriculum. Role of different stakeholders in implementing the curriculum. Curriculum issues in Turkey and abroad.
