Course Content

Develop an understanding of the link between physical activity and public health. Foundations of physical activity and public health, effects of exercise and physical activity on health, and the strategies for effective physical activity promotion will be discussed.
By the end of the semester,students will be able to
1-Understand the fundamentals of physical activity, public health, and related policies and research.
2-Explain the interaction between the physical activity, and health.
3-Identify the health effects of exercise and physical activity.
4-Explain the health benefits and risks of participation in physical activity.
5-Discuss the ways of physical activity promotion for different settings.
6-Analyse the physical activity and health policies at national and international level.
7-Analyse the quality of the physical activity and exercise programs offered for public health.
8-Synthesize class concent and make reflections about physical activity and public health via classroom discussions and assignments.
