Course Content

Foundations for instructional use of media and Information and Communication.Technologies (ICT), particularly computers, in science/mathematics education. The characteristics of various instructional media and ICT, and their use in science/mathematics instruction. Basics of (instructional) software and educational use of word processors,spreadsheets, desktop publishing and presentation software. Distance education and the Internet in science/mathematics instruction. Quality assessment of various teaching materials with respet to their feasibility and efficiency for the applications in science/mathematics instruction. Development of teaching materials through instructional technologies (worksheets, transparencies, slides, videos, instructional software, models, etc.
