Course Content

The course will cover the following: the importance of the language as a social institution in the life of a nation; relations between culture and language; the Turkish languages and their geographical distribution; history of the Turkish language; phonology of the Turkish language; rules of punctuation. The role of inflection (declension and conjugation) and derivation in the Turkish language. General rules of composition; various forms of written expression.
