Course Content

In this course basic concepts and definitions of critical and analytical thinking are discussed in line with the ways, stages and strategies of thinking. Virtues of analytical and critical thinking are investigated. Importance and ways of critical reading, writing, listening and speaking are emphasized. Some aspects of critical and analytical thinking are integrated especially with academic writing and reading. Students who take this course are directed to do some projects in which they criticize educational writings and related literature. They are also expected to do some content analysis in which they can use critical and analytical thinking perspectives.
