Course Content

This course deals with the city in modern times, in 20th and 21st centuries. The metropolitan and post-metropolitan phenomenon is one of the main issues. Social differentiation, economic restructuration, social and spatial change, social networks (local and global), social polarization are other issues that are analyzed in the course. Main approaches in urban sociology are also introduced.
