Course Content
This course provides students with the probability and the statistics knowledge that are extensively used in the data science field. The topics include basic concepts of probability, discrete and continuous random variables, probability distributions, expected values, multiple random variables, independence, joint/marginal/conditional probability distributions, functions of random variables, random vectors and processes, estimation theory, descriptive statistics as well as statistical inference and hypothesis testing.
