Course Content

The case for disaster risk management (DRM) of Cultural Heritage, concepts and principles of DRM of cultural heritage, the context in Turkey and governance for disaster-resilient cultural heritage, understanding the context and the value at risk, identification of natural and human induced hazards, vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, risk-based decision-making, mitigation strategies, emergency preparedness and response, recovery planning, issues of repair and rehabilitation.
