Through this elaboration, the course aims to identify not only the current trends and effects of these economies but also the similarities, differences, peculiarities and generalities among Asian economies themselves, and between Asian economies and the US and European economies. The main discussion themes of this course are early European imperialism, decolonization, economic nationalism, Japanese experience in the post-WWII era, the miraculous growth of East Asia in the late 1990s, and “Asian Model”.
