Course Content
Introduction to hyperbolic conservation laws. Overview of classic monotone schemes. High-order accuracy. Strong Stability Preserving Time Integration. High-order limiter-based methods. Essentially nonoscillatory (ENO) and Weighted essentially nonoscillatory schemes (WENO). Discontinuous Galerkin (DG) Methods and related formulations. Practical algorithmic aspects for one- and two-dimensional problems on uniform and nonuniform grids. Hands-on programming projects and applications in engineering and physical sciences.
