Course Content
Introduction to main types of alternative binders used in construction industry that are either in regular use or present. Decorative portland cements. Super-sulfated cement. Limestone calcined clay cement (LCC). High volume supplementary cementitious materials (SCM). Oil well cement. Calcium aluminate cement (CAC). High alumni cement. Belite cements. Calcium sulfoaluminate cements (CSA). Calcium sulfoaluminate-belite cements. Alkali-activated materials (AAM) / Geopolymers. Magnesia-based cements. Phosphate cements. Binders for additive manufacturing (3D-printing). Chemical cements. Other types of cements.
