Exploring the aims and main principles of the elementary school mathematics teaching. Understanding the elementary school mathematics curriculum, philosophy, teaching and assessment methods. Evolving understanding of elementary school students’ mathematical thinking, misconceptions and difficulties. Assessing and evaluating elementary school mathematics concepts.
