Course Content
Fundamental concepts related to education and anthropology; links between culture, learning, and schooling; relation of learning as a social process with socio-cultural contexts; cultural foundations of education, school culture, popular culture, study of marginalized groups in education, major approaches used by educational anthropologists; challenges and rewards of using anthropological concepts in educational research; trends about education in 21st century, and education in Turkish written and oral history.
