Course Content
A course covering the basis ecological concepts stressed mainly in the elementary science curriculum by using case studies, history of science, and nature of science. Elementary school students’ understanding of ecological concepts, their learning difficulties, misconceptions, conceptual change approach and microteaching. Strategies of teaching ecological concept, graphical organizers and hands on activities. An analysis of how well textbooks for the elementary grades can help students learn key ideas in ecological concepts.
