Major family counseling theories. Basic concepts and principles of each theory. Psychodynamic and Bowen Family Therapies, Behavioral and Cognitive-Behavioral Family Therapies, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapies, and Solution-Focused and Narrative Family Therapies. Similarities and differences among the theories and related research about the theories.
