Course Content

Theory and principles of course content and materials design in English language teaching (selection, adaptation, development and evaluation); views on the use or published materials or teacher-made materials; the relationship between method and ideology of textbook design and course content selection: issues considered in designing a course book such as learner s language proficiency, learnability, convenience, cultural content, communicative interaction and authentic material use and authentic task design; adaptation of course materials according to their needs and teaching environment, teacher-made materials and aids according to student level, needs and the current school environment; evaluation of materials and language tools.
