Course Content

The aim and basic principles of teaching English as a foreign language; the difference between second language and foreign language, history of foreign language teaching; approaches, methods and techniques to foreign language teaching, reflection of learning and teaching approaches on foreign language teaching; basic skills and strategies in teaching English as a foreign language; examples of in-class applications and problems of foreign language classes; current trends in teaching English as a world language, components of effective English language teaching; social, cultural and economic aspects of teaching English as a foreign language.
