Course Content

Students will gain knowledge on the major drivers. priorities. interests. opportunities and constraints in Türkiye` s relations with the Middle East. The course Will provide analysis not only on the critical turning points of Turkish foreign policy towards the Middle East but also the systemic constraints and opportunities. major actors. debates and ideas in the making ofthe policy. Students will have deep knowledge ofthe longue duree ofthe relations. and also gain the ability to analyse the changes and continuities across time in Türkiye` s policy towards the wars. civil wars. peace-making. and mediation in the region. Ýn addition to providing insights into the policy vis-â-vis the region ? the Middle East ? country-specific studies will also be carried out on bilateral relations. especially on Türkiye and Syria. Türkiye and Iraq. Türkiye and Israel. and Türkiye and Iran.
