This course aims to familiarize students with the concept and history of diplomacy; theory of diplomacy; practice of diplomacy; different forms and kinds of diplomacy; Foreign Ministries and diplomatic missions; profession of the diplomats; diplomatic protocol. privileges and immunities; diplomatic language. writing skills and correspondence (Note Verbal. Note Signee. Note Circular. Aide-Memoire. Memorandum. etc.); diplomatic documents and texts (Credentials. Messages. Letters. Treaties. Conventions. Agreements. etc.); career prospects in the field of diplomacy with special reference to Turkish Foreign Ministry and international organizations.
