Course Content
This course aims to familiarize students with the concept and history of diplomacy; theory of diplomacy; practice of diplomacy; different forms and kinds of diplomacy; Foreign Ministries and diplomatic missions; profession of the diplomats; diplomatic protocol, privileges and immunities; diplomatic language, writing skills and correspondence (Note Verbal, Note Signee, Note Circular, Aide-Memoire, Memorandum, etc.); diplomatic documents and texts (Credentials, Messages, Letters, Treaties, Conventions, Agreements, etc.); career prospects in the field of diplomacy with special reference to Turkish Foreign Ministry and international organizations.
