Course Content
The purpose of this course is to examine the social history of the Cold War by focusing on the agency of society/societies and the limitations imposed on it/them by bipolar world politics. Against the backdrop of fast technological changes which shaped modern communications, warfare and consumption, this course seeks answers to the questions of how Cold War Society was shaped, and how society stood against the Cold War order.
