Course Content
Machine learning (ML) is emerging as an increasingly vital analytical tool that provides accurate analyses and sophisticated solutions for addressing data-rich challenges. Large-scale datasets. commonly called "big data," have become prevalent across various applied domains. This course aims to equip students with tlhe ML skills and knowledge necessary to navigate and analyze large-scale datasets in economics and finance. Students will gain proficiency in programming statistical methods using Python and learn to utilize relevant libraries to implement these methods effectively. Furthermore. it aims to provide students with practical, hands-on e.xperience in addressing economic and fýnancial challenges through real-world case studies, fostering working data science knowledge.
