Course Content
This course examines the historical evolution. contemporary dynamics. and future challenges of the relationship between Europe (primarily the EU and key states) and the United States. Topics include transatlantic security (NATO. deterrence). economic ties (trade. sanctions. TTIP). diplomatic cooperation/conflict (Ukraine. China policy). and cultural-ideational influences. The course combines theoretical frameworks (e.g.. liberalism. realism. constructivism) with case studies to analyze shifting power balances. institutional resilience. and emerging divisions.
