Course Content

The evolution of the relations of the Ottoman Empire with the Great Powers of the 19th Century; the Eastern Question and what this meant to the Great Powers; the Concert of Europe as the niveau of the European Union; the inclusion of the Ottoman Empire into the European Community in 1856 and the unacceptable demands of the Western Powers vis--vis the Ottoman State; the process of partition of the Ottoman Empire at the end of the 19th century.
