Explores the metabolic diversification of bacteria and phylogenetic relations. Molecular methods used in systematics of bacteria. major bacterial groups such as proteobacteria (α. β. γ. δ. ε. ζ) . Actinobacteria. cyanobacteria. Flavobacteria. Cytophaga. Green sulfur and nonsulfur bacteria. hyperthermophilic bacteria. Deinococci. Nitrospira and so on.Prerequisite: BIO 303 OR BIO 313 OR FDE 311
