This course is designed to provide students with a broad background in positive psychology by covering such topics as subjective and psychological well-being; importance of having a positive affective outlook. and positive interpersonal relationships; optimism. hope. and self-efficacy; the interplay between positive affect and cognitive processes; optimal experiences involving mindfulness. flow. and creativity; authenticity. wisdom. courage. compassion. empathy. altruism. gratitude. forgiveness. positive responses to ´loss´. and spirituality. A cross-cutting theme of the course involves self- and context-related differences in the issues considered.
