Course Content
Current paradigms in material culture. consumption. and everyday life studies. Introduction to the ethnography of everyday life. A short fieldwork/socioethnographic case study is conducted to understand the meanings of products as embedded in everyday life practices. and to analyze certain lifestyle understandings. Central to the course is developing an understanding of the socio-cultural significance of consumption and patterns of product use in everyday life.
