Role of assessment and evaluation in teaching, basic concepts related to assessment. Instructional Goals and Objectives: foundation for assessment. Psychometric characteristics of test scores: validity, reliability, and usability. Constructing classroom tests based on test specifications. Role of feedback in assessment. Item analysis. Marking and reporting. Elementary statistics.
