Course Content
Definition of mass communication; the history of mass communication and its present state; the widespread use of English in mass communication; kinds of mass communication within print media, social media and new media; effects mass communication can create on diverse audiences around the world; critical discourse analysis of selected examples from different types of mass communication produced in English, such as news and advertising items; newspaper and magazine columns; book publishing; radio, television, films, TV series, and media adaptations of literature; social media, blogs and the Internet.
